Grafton Physical Culture Club commenced in 1979. Current teacher, Justine Crispin Joined the Club as a seven year old, in 1981. Justine’s mother was an original member of the Club, joining in 1979. Julie came from a dancing background and after a number of years in physie became assistant teacher. In 1999 Julie commenced teaching the Club on her own, with Justine assisting with preschoolers and the senior girls from 2003, when work commitments allowed.
In 2004 Justine took over the teaching of the Senior girls and had great success with 2 senior girls Alison Traecey and Jessica Dougherty becoming National placegetters in their age divisions. These two girls were the first 2 girls for the club to become National Placegetters.
In 2007 Julie retired from teaching the Club and Justine became the new and most successful teacher the club has had. Justine is a very experienced physie person, having won numerous North Coast Titles and represented at Nationals, since the age of eight.
In 2011 we were the most successful club at the Far North Coast Zone Championships in the Teams Sections winning 5 of the 6 sections we had entered.
Justine thoroughly enjoys the challenge and has had great success in Individuals and Teams, both at Zone and National level.
Grafton is very much a family orientated Club, with mums and daughters and grandmothers, able to enjoy the fun and exercise together.
